| It was with great
pleasure that on behalf of the management and members of the
Ingle Farm Sporting Club Incoroporated, Club President, Ray McCard welcomed the
Prime Minister John
Howard, Janette Howard and the member for Makin Trish
Draper to our club on Monday 15th October 2001.
Over 150 people were present to welcome the Prime Minister
including over 40 media representatives.

Everyone had the opportunity of meeting and speaking with the
Prime Minister as he circulated throughout the club lounge.
It was a unique opportunity to promote the club to the wider
community and the visit received media coverage in the press and
on TV.
In
his address, the Prime Minister pledged a $10,000 donation to
the club if his Government was re-elected.
As a token of appreciation, Ray McCard presented the Prime Minister with a club shirt.
The Prime Minister said that he would wear the shirt when he
was out walking.
